Chris: As to the other part of your question, the phasing out of vinyl is all part of the elimination of smaller labels. At least maybe we would have hung Reagan in the 70s for the Iran-Contra scandal, but nobody wants to hear bad news now. It's all a fucking Bobby McFaren song... Don't Worry... The media's just an elaborate device for disseminating the view of the powerful in America now, and everyone's so tied into their TV's that all you've got to do to see what people will be wearing on the street next month is watch MTV. We've grown so used to the idea that the media keeps us in touch with the world that we lose sight of the fact that it's owned and operated (in the US) by large corporations who would prefer it if we didn't get in touch with certain facts. The same is true of any governmental editing of 'public information'.
